Victor Ojelabi

Victor Ojelabi is a media strategist, communications professional, and creative entrepreneur with extensive experience spanning journalism, public relations, branding, and digital media.

A trained mass communicator and graduate of Lagos State Polytechnic, he has built a reputation for bold storytelling, cultural commentary, and impactful media engagement across Nigeria’s business, entertainment, political, and social sectors.

Victor began his professional media career at Fortune and Class Magazine under the mentorship of veteran journalist Dr. Niyi Akinsiju. That foundation shaped a media career spanning more than a decade, during which he contributed to respected publications including Marketing Edge, Brand Communicator, Global Excellence, M2 Magazine, Metronews and many other legacy print media.

As the Chief Executive Officer of Iretura Limited, he leads the company’s vision in media consultancy, branding, printing, content production, public relations, and technology-driven communications solutions. Under his leadership, Iretura has continued to grow as a creative partner for businesses, organisations, and public institutions seeking strategic visibility and impactful storytelling.

Victor is also the Founder of TheFLEA Awards and Publisher of Freelanews (https://freelanews.com), an independent digital news platform established in 2011 and permanently hosted at its current domain since 2019. In 2024, the platform received a Special Appreciation Award from the Nigerian-American Chamber of Commerce in recognition of its contribution to journalism and public discourse.

In recognition of his growing influence within Nigeria’s media and communications industry, Victor was named Media Personality of the Year in 2024 and emerged as first runner-up at the ADVAN Africa Awards 2025.

A committed humanitarian and advocate for community development, he is an active member of Rotary International through the Rotary Club of Ikeja-Alausa, where he has served in several leadership capacities, including Chairman of the Art Exhibition Committee.
