Description
Freelanews SEO Fix is a lightweight automation plugin developed by Iretura to help publishers and digital newsrooms automatically identify and correct critical SEO, indexing, and performance issues on their WordPress sites.
Built primarily for websites using Rank Math SEO, the plugin ensures that all your pages remain indexable, your sitemaps stay valid, and your Core Web Vitals—especially Largest Contentful Paint (LCP)—are optimised for Google Search visibility.
It runs quietly in the background, detecting and resolving hidden problems such as broken sitemaps, “noindex” tags, or robots.txt conflicts, allowing your editorial team to focus on publishing instead of technical troubleshooting.
Key Features
SEO and Indexing Fixes
- Automatically removes unintended “noindex” tags from published pages and posts.
- Resolves “URL is unknown to Google” and “No referring sitemaps detected” errors.
- Repairs sitemap issues by automatically re-saving Rank Math settings.
- Fixes “Excluded by noindex tag”, “Blocked by robots.txt”, “Access forbidden (403)”, and “Server error (5xx)” problems.
- Validates canonical tags for consistency across indexed URLs.
Sitemap and Crawling
- Monitors your sitemap status and regenerates it when broken.
- Notifies administrators when sitemaps become unreachable.
- Automatically re-pings Google Search Console with updated sitemap URLs.
Performance Enhancements
- Scans for Largest Contentful Paint (LCP) issues on mobile and desktop devices.
- Optimises content rendering order to reduce LCP delay.
- Works with major caching and CDN solutions such as LiteSpeed, Cloudflare, and QUIC.cloud.
Plugin Compatibility
- Fully compatible with Rank Math, LiteSpeed Cache, WP Rocket, and Autoptimize.
- Built with conflict-safe hooks to avoid interference with other SEO tools.
- Lightweight structure for minimal server impact.
- Logs all automated actions for transparency.
How It Works
- Freelanews SEO Fix runs periodic checks (every 12–24 hours) to assess key technical SEO and performance factors.
- If it detects an issue—such as a broken sitemap or a page accidentally marked “noindex”—it applies a repair.
- When intervention is needed, it displays clear notices in your dashboard, for example:
Freelanews SEO Fix: Sitemap appears broken or unreachable. Please re-save Rank Math sitemap settings.
- Once the issue is resolved, the notification automatically disappears.
All fixes and warnings are stored in your site logs for review.

The plugin is designed to be non-destructive, meaning it never overwrites Rank Math or theme configurations without user consent.
